Amy Diehl is a Consulting Partner with Vide Consulting Group. Her areas of expertise include leadership, gender and leadership, women and leadership, unconscious gender bias, equalism, and information technology. Her current research continues to explore and make meaning of the gender-based leadership barriers faced by women in leadership.
Amy has consulted with organizations on challenges experienced by women leaders, unconscious bias, and solutions for identifying and eliminating unconscious bias. Her clients have gained insights and tools that enable women leaders to navigate adversity in their personal and professional lives. The results of her work have translated into stronger organizational diversity and leadership capacity, generating value for customers and stakeholders.
Amy currently serves as Associate Vice President and Chief Information Technology Officer at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Her research on gender and leadership has been published in journals including Human Resource Development Quarterly, Journal of Leadership Studies, Gender in Management: An International Journal, and Advancing Women in Leadership.
She has also written chapters for Women and Leadership in Higher Education, volume one in the International Leadership Association’s Women and Leadership book series, and the Handbook on Gender and Leadership.
Her contributions to the field of leadership, particularly women and leadership, have been recognized through frequent invited speeches, workshops, guest appearances, and presentations. She was named a 2019 Central Penn Business Journal Woman of Influence and continues to make important contributions to the scholarship and practice of leadership.
Amy holds a PhD in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Frostburg State University, and a BS in Computer Science and BA in French, both from Shippensburg University.
